KGB

is the name of the trick that I've been focusing the most over the last couple of months. It is based on a unhooked bankroll, where you stop the rotation half way through the trick, then counter rotate to pass the bar behind your back and land. If you are unfamiliar with the KGB family, enlarge the sequence below and analise the individual photos. READ MORE...

This trick was fairly difficult to learn and my previous experiences didn't seem to help much. First it was hard to find the timing to stop and counter rotate and later I had problems with the landing itself. Finally it came down to a mixture of aggression and control which made me land this trick.

The inspiration for me was the back to blind with a grab (tail grab, nuclear grab) which looks pretty cool. Hope to include it in my repertoire soon. Meanwhile I leave you with this back to blind sequence which is one step before the grab.

Feel free to leave comments and share it with your friends.

the sequence shows a back to blind, not a KGB. In a kgb you pass the bar inverted mid-air. In this sequence you land before you completed the pass. Also with a true kgb you land heel-side, bringing your hand back onto the bar. This last step is probably the hardest part. keep trying!

Hey Anonymous thanks for you comment. If you read carefully you'll find that the KGB is the one I've been trying over the last couple of months not the one on the sequence...
"I leave you with this back to blind sequence..." Cheers.
