Fuerteventura has a lot of variety in terms of kite spots and different conditions. I decided to start this trip up north on this beautiful island and move down south later on. Cotillo is a good place to base yourself if you prefer a tranquil location otherwise Coralejo will suit the outgoing person just fine.

The whole north shore is covered with volcanic reef and exposed to ground and wind swell. You can find some excellent kiteboarding conditions here, just get yourself a surf map with tide table in one of the local surf shops and you're good to go. The tide plays a major role and places like flag beach (Corralejo) are safer on rising tides where as others work the opposite. After riding at Cotillo, the Lagoons and Corralejo for a week I'm pretty excited to head down south to experience the seemingly endless beaches there. Feel free to stop by for an update on the south of Fuerteventura soon.
