Waves at City Beach

What are the waves like in perth? Considering that swell is constantly hitting the west coast of Australia the waves in Perth seem pretty average with 2-3ft. It seems like the islands and offshore reefs are sheltering perth's coastline of big waves.

During the last couple of days went to play in the waves of city beach. The spot is pretty cool, with a grass area to rig your gear and little, sucky waves between several harbor walls. The conditions I scored were good fun with 20-knots south wind blowing cross-shore and waist heigh waves rolling in.

Very soon we'll go on a trip up north to discover Australia's wildness. This years national wave championship will be held in Wedge Island and I would like to invite you to follow me on this trip.
